Came here with high hopes based on reviews of others. However, I left pretty disappointed. They?ve got a burger for every state but there?s not very much difference between any of them. As the norm I was asked how I would like my burger cooked and requested medium rare but got it cooked very far past that. Lacked the juiciness I love from a good burger. It looked fantastic going onto the grill and was salivating at the thought of how good it looked but it was evident there was much seasoning done to the beautiful piece of meat that made its way to the grill. I have passed by here very often and always wanted to go in and get a burger. The service was great, the atmosphere was awesome, the biggest disappointment was the food. I got their Idaho burger and it was beyond bland, the party was dry and the bun was crumbling apart as I was eating it and as a bonus there was no sauce other than the ketchup you have to put on yourself. The food was whatever and for how it taste and for how much it cost.
I absolutely love American Burgers! The restaurant is spotless, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the fantastic 50s decor sets a great atmosphere. The menu offers excellent food at reasonable prices, considering the quality you get. With 24 years in business, they truly deserve praise. Don’t miss out—American Burgers is a must-visit!
Simply if you want the best burger on long Island you go to American Burgers. They are so far above anything else I've had. So tasty. And the steak fries are out of this world. Also Tony's review about dry and falling apart has never happened to me.
