It’s a cozy restaurant upon first impression. The restaurant was decorated with warm yellow lights, and the interior seating gave off an atmosphere of those restaurants around the 80s. The staff that served us was kind and attentive.I’m not a fan of pizza, but I’d say I like their pizza. We ordered a Manhattan Red Clam and Mini Cheese Pizza for kids. The pizza came out with sweet aroma that instantly woke up your appetites. They’re very tasty and flavorful.At the end of the meal, we were given some mint candies ? it was very kind of them! This place just continues to disappoint. Called them to inquire why my order hasn 't arrived after almost an hour and the response was that it will be another 30 minutes and 1.5 hours is Very Normal . No apologies offered. And the 20% tip is charged upfront for terrible service! Very disappointed, Pizza showed up almost two hours after was ordered and was cold and burnt. I called the store to complain and was told they’ll give us a $20 store credit on $100 order. Totally unacceptable from start to finish. Done with Amicis San Mateo.
