When it comes to authentic Latino or homemade Mexican food, you can definitely tell the difference between something made with care and love versus something that’s simply microwaved. This is what differentiates their smaller restaurant from the larger, busier ones. Due to the pandemic, Amigo Taqueria had to adjust their hours to operate only for breakfast and lunch, and they have raised their prices. However, I would still choose to get a taco from Amigo Taqueria over any other taco spot I’ve tried in my 11 years in North Carolina.
Everyone is on the hunt for great casual dining in the city—food that is delicious, visually appealing, and reasonably priced. Skip the Mexican restaurant chain and come here instead. They also offer a selection of beers.
I ordered the carne asada torta, and it was delicious! My wife got the chicken burrito, and she thought it was tasty, though a bit too salty. We'll definitely come back when we get the chance!
Not consistent. Sometimes you get good food other times you get really mediocre service. Not as good as when it first started.
