Ampika's Restaurant literally ticks all the boxes. The food is authentic Thai and the flavours are amazing, my mouth is watering just thinking about the delights that are served there. The restaurant is right on the sea front at Pt Noarlunga so the views are wonderful and there is a lovely veranda for al fresco dining. The service is friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.The bar area is an added attraction and there is an array of boutique beers to try. Having enjoyed a takeaway meal from this restaurant we decided to enjoy a birthday dinner over looking the sunset at Port Noarlunga. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere is interesting and welcoming. The staff could not have been more helpful. My husband and I shared chicken satays for our entrees. He had a stir-fry for mains which he said was extremely good. My mouth still salivates when I think about my salt and pepper chicken. I will return for another sampling as it was extra-ordinarily delicious and a large serve. The others at our table said their vegan and vegetarian meals were amazing. Ordered the Laksa, came out without the tofu, then waitress spilt it on my leg. Said sorry, then gave me 3 napkins to wipe it off me, the table and my handbag. Soup was good but expensive. Went up to pay, asked if meal was good, I said it was OK but had hot soup spilt on my leg, the waiter said, well I cant see any stain. I said that it actually burnt my leg and he said, well there's lots of dark alleys near here if you want to get revenge on the waitress. Never have I had such a disgusting remark made to me by a waiter.
The views are lovely out the window of this cozy restaurant. The dining area isn't very big which gives it an intimate feel but it can get noisy at times when there are large groups (as with any small place). The food is yummy and comes out quickly. The servings are medium in size and not as generous as most other Thai places I have been to but they are very flavoursome. They have a good selection of wines and the staff are very friendly.

We have been here a couple of ties in the daytime on a sunday it should be alive but is sadly lacking in atmosphere and customers, the view being the best part.. Our lamb burger was quite undercooked in parts.....an overall disappoiting experience
Good Thai food all freshly cooked from a wide ranging menu. Service just ok but not a negative. The massaman curry is delicious and the stir fry dishes can be cooked in 3 strengths. We were a party so able to "mix" it up. Recommended.
A friendly place with inside and outdoor tables, get a good view if the weather permits! Mostly Asian inspired food with some interesting twists. A nice meal and reasonable price and friendly service to!
Great Thai food, wonderful craft beers, ciders and local wines, awesome sea views and a relaxed environment with awesome service...really what is not to love ?

Good food, wine list, need more staff when it was as busy as last Saturday night.Hatted host a bit too officious, behaves like a traffic cop.
The atmosphere wasn't great, food was average and the staff surly and had a superior attitude. Won't be going back.
