Amsterdam Falafelshop was one of my absolute favorite spots to satisfy my falafel craving, and they had the city's best pickled toppings, including pickled beets, turnips, cauliflower, cabbage, ..the list goes on. You could even buy these toppings by the quart (or the falafel by the bag) and take them home to indulge in the Amsterdam Falafelshop goodness from the comfort of your own kitchen. I missed what seems like an amazing falafel. I never even got to try it. This 1 star is for the night after one of my least best birthdays when I had my mouth READY for falafel, got in an Uber at 10:45pm, rode 25 minutes to Adam's Morgan because Yelp said it was still open, stepped out the Uber and the so-called best falafel spot in my hometown is CLOSED, for what seems like good. I'm sad...mostly for me...and my stomach...but also the other night eaters unable to fix they're craving with a falafel. I'm sad for the time lost trying to score a late night snack. This birthday year sucks and I'm still hungry.
Went during the weekday, loved their falafel sandwich (get all the toppings! ! I mainly came to try our their fries as everyone talks about how good it is and it did not disappoint!! Probably 1 of the best falafel in DC. Their Falafel Sandwich $10) comes with 5 giant falafels tons of toppings and sauce selection. The falafels're great so flavorful nicely cooked. Make sure you get the fried eggplant as 1 of your toppings!
