We ordered our food delivery from Uber Eats, which we all know can sometimes take up to an hour for delivery. Unfortunately, after receiving our order, my daughter found a piece of plastic in her slice of red velvet cake that had been cut in two places. When I called the restaurant to complain, I was told I had waited too long to speak up and was rudely told not to call again. The staff showed no concern for my daughter's well-being and did not inquire about the cake in question to check for other potential hazards. The chicken kebabs are priced at almost restaurant prices at £8.99, but despite that, there was a generous portion of chicken that was nicely marinated. The dish is served with a choice of chips or salad, one pitta, and both chilli and garlic sauce. The salad provided was sufficient, but we opted for an extra salad as we prefer more. Surprisingly, the pitta was decent and the sauces were good. It was definitely worth the extra cost, and the delivery was on time.
This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and I was extremely disappointed with the experience. The delivery took over an hour and a half, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and drenched in oil. The prices were also excessively high for the quality of the food. I should have read the reviews beforehand, and I regret not doing so. I will not be ordering from this takeout again. I would advise others to avoid this place as well.
Frequently returned customer but won't be ordering again. They allowed us to put an order in their website and rang me half an hour later to say they don't deliver to our location. They told me to place the order again but to input Gateshead as our city. I did as advised and they rang again go say they they don't deliver and their colleague was incorrect telling me to order again. I'm sorry but you really need to train staff better.
