Anchor is a chain of bakers based in Vienna, with several branches in transport hubs, underground stations, etc. This branch is located at Vienna Airport after the customs transfer in the arrival area of Terminal 3. It offers a good selection of filled rolls, special breads and a fairly small selection of sweet baked goods at moderate prices the branch of Billa (Austria's largest supermarket chain) has a similar, cheaper choice at the far end of the arrival area. But if you want to go quickly to a bus or taxi, anchor is more convenient, but be careful: our taxi driver told me I couldn't eat in the taxi! Just arrived in Austria. Stop at Anker Cafe in Salzburg Main Station. Beautiful small café with a wide selection of dishes including vegan. We both had a ciabatta with rocket, buffalo mozerella and tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious. We shared an apple strudel that was divine. Nice big cup of tea too. We're coming back!

We got a mini poppyseed strudel and a slice of kugelhupf at this nice little baking. There were other tempting cakes e.g. Apple strudel, and breads. You could get a coffee there also. The cakes we bought were very good.

The Austrians usually work well with baked goods, and this bakery is no exception. Good food and service, and you are unlikely to be cheated here as you often do in airport restaurants.

Beautiful selection of delicious dishes, most of them sandwiches, fresh bagels and croissant filled with ham, eggs and vegetables.
