Once one of the two or three best pizza places in Vernon, Anthony's has, sadly, gone noticeably down hill. Was expecting a medium crust with gooey cheese and fresh veggies. Instead I got thin crust, a smear of tasteless sauce covered by a translucent layer of congealed cheese. The spinach had an odd tang to it and the mushrooms were paper thin. In previous visits I've noticed that the quality of their grinders had declined drastically.Will not go back. Very sad for what was used to be a great restaurant.
We had been looking for a place for lunch or dinner that was local and not a chain. Been driving by it for years and finally checked it out. The decor is a little dated so if classier atmosphere is what you're looking for go elsewhere. If you want well prepared italien food, larger portions, reasonable prices, friendly, efficient waitstaff and in a warm, family familiar setting....you have arrived!
Okay, I will admit I'm a homer. I've lived in Vernon for 20 plus years but moved. When I come home I always have to stop here. Pizza and grinders are amazing. Sauce has a ton of flavor. One of Vernon's hidden gems.
Domino’s pizza is better. Meatball grinder I got was not very filling, though their cold cut grinders tend to be nice size. Some things on the menu are over the top but other things have gone downhill.

Well if I ever do go back east depending on if I want this again maybe will order it. I just couldn't find where to add utensils and all. I even went back and looked. I have had better.
We ordered catering for our daughter's birthday and everything was prepared right on time. The food was fresh, hot, and a huge hit with both the children and adults!
I had a great dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and I cannot understand the one-star review as the food was really tasty!
Good was delicious, a bit rough on the edges when it came to the server, but in general a very good experience.
