Although the server was friendly, she was not quite up to standard, much like the restaurant itself. Despite our visit being on a Wednesday, we still had to wait over 10 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant so the server could catch up. It seems like the restaurant should have had more staff on hand for the evening. I had requested a few more minutes to look at the menu, but it took the server another 10+ minutes to return, and then an additional 30 minutes until we were served. The greeter older gentleman was not the most friendliest, seemed like it was a bother to have our work groups of 11 to dine there for lunch. The place was empty. We were told we could sit where we wanted then apparently a young women who was themanager was upset and said Oh so they just sit themselves? She was very rude. We waited a very long time for our food, otherguest who sat down after us got their food first. I had a gift card and business nearby, so I decided to try out Applebee's for the first time with a curbside pickup order. Ordering online was quick and easy, and my food was ready in just five minutes after I arrived in my car. I started with a mushroom Swiss burger and fries, which tasted good but the burger was on the smaller side and not worth the $15 price tag. I have had better and larger burgers for much less at fast food places. Later, I tried the chicken Alfredo pasta and was very disappointed. My family chose Applebee's to celebrate a birthday. I convinced them to make it a yearly tradition after having a great experience during my first visit. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. Huge thanks to Bob and Crystal for making it such a great dining experience!
