Yesterday, my wife and I were looking for some comfort food for lunch and stopped at this Applebees near our home. I ordered chicken and shrimp with mashed potatoes, and mushrooms and onions sautéed in garlic butter sauce. My wife had the same dish with steak instead of the chicken and shrimp. These were exactly the dishes we were looking for in our desire for comfort food. Every item in our entrées was cooked perfectly. I normally think of Applebees as just OK, but this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time at ANY restaurant. I commend the chef and hope he or she is on duty when we return for our next meal.
The restaurant on Montgomery and Juan Tabo has really stepped up it's customer service and it's quality of food. I'm actually happy that with the limited staff they did an amazing job and provided me and my family with amazing service. Keep up the good work. My only issue was how dark and dimly lit it felt in the restaurant, so maybe management should work on making it brighter in their establishment.
I ordered the 6 oz Steak and Shrimp dinner and was impressed with how perfectly cooked the steak was, exactly to the medium-rare I had requested. The onion rings were large and tasty, and all the sides were cooked nearly perfectly. The manager, Shenicka Gary, made sure I had a great experience and I definitely did. I came to the restaurant with my nieces. Our waitress was not responsive. She never came by to see how our meal was and when we ordered dessert, I had to ask her to clear the food dishes from the table. She only cleared 2 of the plates and went to take care of other customers. I will continue to go to Applebees, but I will not go into this one again

A quick lunch run lead us to this location. We weren't greeted so we sat at the bar and the bartender took great care of us. Asked for something to drink and she came up with the best combo to my tastes. To go lunch completed fast and delicious
Ordered the four cheese Mac n Cheese and chicken tenders. The food was served hot and tasted as expected. The server was attentive and checked on us frequently. Will be coming back for my annual Applebee’s meal next year :

Not very busy if you go a little off-hours. Tex-Mx Shrimp Bowl is pretty good. Otherwise pretty standard American restaurant fare.
The food was good. Service was okay. Atmosphere was so so.
