happy mother’s day? not! we are very vegan our favorite restaurant, avocado cafe, is only 2 doors down, so motherday, my daughter wanted to treat me for lunch, both of us completely forget that they are closed on Sunday. on our last visit a few months ago, however, we noticed that arepita had cafe vegan options, so, to love different ethics food, and a Latina daughter, we have made ourselves a note that we had to try it and yesterday seemed like the right day. we are not coming back. I don't usually write a crook, but that was so bad that I had to warn others not to waste their time or money. the visit started pleasant enough. the restaurant was mostly empty when I arrived at the afternoon,...

this was our first time that we had to eat Venezuelans and we were not disappointed at all. this place served really delicious eating with great service. we ordered the Venezuelan sampler appetizer, which was delicious! then we ordered the filled paprika, which were also very good. we also ordered their cheese cachapa, which tasted more like dessert and was really delightful. the only thing I didn't like was the arepa aubergine, the arepa was hard and heavy and the aubergine was understated and there was hardly a hummus to even notice. the whole sandwich was very dry and not delicious. the place is sweet and the service was great. there were many Veg options on the menu and I will return to...

I have gotten the arepa eggplant and the arepa avocado! I prefer the arepa eggplant because it's got lots of black bean hummus yum. Vegan and vegetarian options are noted on the menu, and arepas are vegan and gluten-free- it says so on the menu and the staff is familiar with both terms, which is always nice! The menu I see online is different than what I've been given in the restaurant, but even if they're changing their menu, they are so accommodating they would probably make you an arepa with whatever you want.
