I couldn't get my head completely when the site said it was 45 minutes walk from where you were thrown off to get into the cabins, but that's exactly what they thought. We booked a car from Santa Marta and it took about an hour to get to the entrance of the National Park. Our taxi has taken us off at the entrance and we had to take our luggage to the processing area that was just off the entrance. Unfortunately, we had a fair amount of luggage, as we drove to Cartagena after the park, so we had to bring everything.
