"Great spot, close to the dual carriageway, for Sunday lunch. Excellent roasts and puddings, good vegetarian alternatives and unusual smaller plates in a lovely and expensively restored building. Some inexperienced staff but made up for and then some by talent in the kitchen. Gift shop and deli on sight too."

This restaurant is one of our favorites for both the bar and Sunday lunch in the restaurant. We have dined here several times in the past year and have always been satisfied. While the menu doesn't change very often, the food is usually very good. However, we were disappointed this week when it didn't meet its usual standards. The soup was disappointing and tasteless, with skin on top. We had enjoyed the same soup before and it had been delicious. The fish risotto and venison sausages were also tasteless. The burgers were the better option. Perhaps there was a different chef, but whatever the reason, it did not make for a great dining experience.

Had an excellent experience right from the initial booking, where the lady I spoke to was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, the table we had was in a lovely location in the restaurant, and the staff were fantastic. So friendly, attentive and efficient. The whole atmosphere was welcoming so we’ve decided to make this our regular meet up point. Really really impressed.

This restaurant is truly forward-thinking. I visited to charge my Tesla (using a Tesla Supercharger v4) while seeing local clients, and was pleasantly surprised to find a charming Tea Room with amenities. I enjoyed a coffee and cake while my car charged, all in a lovely setting. I will definitely be coming back again.

Three best friends booked this hotel for a weekend of fishing. Rain stopped play so we reverted to the hotel and had a fantastic weekend. Accommodation was lovely, food was first class and the staff were amazing. Kerenza and Amy were so attentive and looked after us amazingly. Couldn’t have done more for us.
