Gross! We got the burrito and huarache. So nasty. The chicken burrito had chicken bones in it. Thank God I was eating it and not my 4 year old son. The green sauce on top tasted sour. The rice was dry and not flavorful! The side salad was ewww! Chopped uplettuce with diced yucky tomatoes and cheese-no dressing, not even a squeeze of lime-no flavor! I will not go there again! Alsotheir drinks are probably powdered not natural. The horchata tasted like a powdered drink! The only reason I ate it was becauseI was so hungry and I had an appointment so I couldn?t cook or get anything else. So disappointed! Also, I was placed on hold 3times bc the lady had no idea what curbside pick up was but on t...

This is probably one of the most underrated restaurants for authentic Mexican food. The tacos are affordable (3 dollars per taco) and they also have taco Tuesdays (3 tacos for 5 dollars). The place is clean, and generally not crowded at all (disclaimer: I have only been there for lunch on weekdays). The staff is friendly, and they leave you alone (which I prefer, instead of over-enthusiastic staff that keep coming to check on you). Music is nice, and the art on the walls is very interesting as well (see photos). Definitely recommended, if you like low key places that are not loud and serve simple, excellent food!

Wow. Where do I even start? We visited on Cinco de Mayo and had the worst Mexican food I've ever experienced. Honestly, even Taco Bell and Chi-Chi's are better. The food was greasy, soggy, and lacked any semblance of seasoning. I wouldn't come back here even if the ghost of Antonio López de Santa Anna threatened to shoot me in the toes if I didn’t eat. If you care about your health, stay away from this place at all costs. Book a table now

Absolutely amazing! The queso dip is fantastic, and the rice and beans are incredibly tasty as well. I’m quite fond of the mermaid water drink! They offer a wide variety of salsas and margaritas. We've tried the sopes, enchiladas, chimichangas, and the Mexican sopa, and we've visited countless times. In fact, Atexquita is our go-to spot for celebrations!

26 Aug 2022: solo dinner. Chile Relleno Y enchilada $12) and pineapple jalapeño margarita $11). 2 types of enchiladas were served pepper stuffed and cheese. I liked cheese better. Some fried rice and mashed beans with cheese were served as well. Everything tasted good overall. The margarita was refreshing with a little jalapeño kick. Recommendation: yes.

This is an excellent Mexican restaurant in Newark, DE, offering delicious food. The service is friendly, although it can be a bit slow on some days due to having just one staff member working at the front. On Taco Tuesday, you can enjoy three tacos (pastor, chicken, carne asada, or carnitas) for just $5. Book a table now
