the first time at the athenian grill and it was really good! it has been refurbished and is very beautifully made. the bathrooms are clean and modern and the terrace with views of the water and boats is beautiful. eating was generous and fresh. Lenses were perfectly cooked as a side to my chicken pita sandwich. French riders with the lamb pita sandwich and hamburger were simply perfect. we came to the opening times, but did not have to wait very long for our meal (preferably 15 minutes.) the staff was very courteous and friendly. the food was worth the price!
My friend and I had lunch there today. The staff was awesome! Our waitress knew that I didn’t want tomatoes on my gyro but I forgot to tell her on my salad. She took the extra effort to let them know that no tomatoes on salad. That might be a lot but it shows me she took the time to listen to me an make my order the way I would like it! That goes above and beyond and I really appreciated everything!
I’d rate this 4.5. My son got a gyro; I got the gyro that starts with “s,” because I wanted lamb. They came with quite nice green salads. We were offered seating inside or out. It was pleasant outside, so we opted for outside. It did take a bit long for us to get our food, but the owner was explaining how long it took to cook a spit of meat. So glad they managed to re-open!

I ordered a Gyro Sandwich and Fries, Carrot Cake and Onion Rings. The Fries I would highly recommend but not the Onion rings. The Carrot Cake was wonderful. The Gyro Sandwich should be tried by everyone. Make sure you ask for light on the Tzatziki Sauce. Malia is an excellent Waitress and should be commended for being nice and courteous and doing a tremendous job !!!
in the past I enjoyed the athener grill, but since the pandemic had changed. the restaurant interieur has been nicely updated, the menu has changed and so has the prices. the staff is friendly and the level of cleanliness remains high. I will continue to ate grill in the hope that it will find its balance between quality and affordableness.
Seated by our hostess and we picked outside seating since it was warm good choice. Great service by Sue. For dinner we were served wonderful Greek salads, delicious gyro sandwich, skewered lamb, best fries, good wine, and diet coda.
Owner is fantastic. Obviously cares about her restaurant and wants you to feel welcome. The staff are a bit thoughtless, but they mean well. Food is tasty and fresh.
