There were six of us, including three people who speak fluent French. We also had two dogs with us. After unsuccessfully trying to make some changes to the pizzas on offer , two acceptable alternatives were chosen. I ordered the smoked salmon salad as a main course. The pizzas were brought to the table, together with a small bottle of chilli oil. The pizzas looked good, and were tasty. The chilli oil was very bland, and one of our party saw the proprietor and very politely tried to attract her attention. The response was a big 'humph ' accompanied by a glare which would have withered many people. She then barked 'oui? ' and was asked quietly and politely for a stronger chilli sauce. She brou...
