A place like we all dream of. This is the former mill of Azay, which for the first time this summer turned into a place of history of this small town told by photographs and period documents on an initiative of the municipality. But it also became, for the first time, a place of conviviality, where with the partnership of the most famous charcutier-treater of Touraine, it is possible to taste local products: grilles, terrines, smoked salmon, etc .... excellent accompanied by wines and local beers as excellent. And this for very reasonable prices, but also and especially in the peaceful and quiet setting that are the banks of the Indre, with the company of ducks, turtles and other birds accus...
We spent a very pleasant evening at the edge of Indre to taste delicious local specialties prepared by this catererer. The place is beautiful and very quiet, far from the traffic of the city center, and close to the castle of Azay-le-Rideau. Only ducks are sometimes heard in this sanctuary of nature bathed in history. An exhibition on the history of the mill, at the entrance, allows to marry culture and gastronomy, while admiring the old stones of this place. The welcome was perfect and we missed nothing. The prices are very correct with a large selection of wines from the region to accompany the different dishes. Very nice initiative of the city to set up this partnership to revive this old...
