We were so lucky to have lunch there on their last day of the season. The service was rather slow as it was packed with visitors, but we did not mind it at all as the view of nearly 300 degree of mountains including Mont Blanc from their terrance was beyond words, especially with a long spell of nice afternoon spring sunshine, what can you complain!We had lamb, fish and wok dishes - all presented beautifully and including my son, everyone finished it all without leaving anything. I had the wok dish which was a light touch curry dish with coconut milk. We went from our Chalet Alpen Valley hôtel in the dark looking for our first meal in Combloux. This place was highly recommended by our hotel staff. I'm glad we arrived early at 7:00. Staff had her meal while we drink in the centre of the restaurant. We waited for our fondue and raclette. One of my children chose Steak and she wasn't disappointed at all. Waiters speak English and French. Very friendly, attentive and come with very good advice. My husband and I were looking for fondue and my 7-year-old wanted raclette. We had already called into this restaurant for a coffee break on one of our walks. We chose it as the restaurant where we wanted to take the last meal of our holiday in Haute Savoie (French Alps). The table I had asked for on the terrace was reserved for us and we had a magical evening. The fondue of fillet steak washed down with local Gamay made for an unforgettable meal but the event of the evening was the view of Mont Blanc bathed in the red sheen of the setting sun. We wanted to go to a restaurant on the slopes but meet a friend who was a non skier. This restaurant is right beside the top car park in Combloux and on a blue piste so easily accessible by all. There food was good and the menu offered a good range. There is a lovely conservatory area but that is reserved for the clients of the hotel. It was not a hot day so we were inside. The atmosphere was lively and friendly and the decor was very traditional chalet with some nice features. We did book earlier in the day and there were people waiting to sit all the time we were there. I would highly recommend.

This area of France is the first place where I meet gourmet restaurants at the ski slopes. Very strange in my view. Fortunately, this is not called a gourmet restaurant, but has good food for fair prices. I had the meal of the...day, which was very good, the food is all local specialties and they are also specialized in fondue and raclette. Good for groups or families or couples. It was busy when we were there, but the staff was friendly, plus the menu shows gluten-free and vegetarian options. Parking is next to him, but we went to him on snowshoes, or you can ski to him. Worth a visit.
They take reservations and they cater to your seating preferences; which is important when you consider the breathtaking vista.The service is always friendly and accurate.The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonnable.We always try to take our guests there for a meal during their visit and we are disappointed when they are closed for their seasonal vacations. We cannot count the number of our visits anymore.There is parking right next to the building and more just down the driveway in the ski area parking lot.
We ate there twice, taking advantage of the fine weather to eat outside on the large terrace.The food was first class, really delicious and the staff were super friendly and spoke good English too !We come to Combloux often and know all the restaurants nearby. We found this restaurant by chance and decided to dine here. We were very nicely surprised. The food was absolutely great, the service was also excellent. The view during the day is breathtaking. The interior of the restaurant is very pleasant. We often go to Combloux, then we're definitely back.
