"We had booked for dinner. When we arrived we were shown upstairs and couldn’t believe the smell of urine. We all agreed that we could never have eaten there. This was a huge disappimtment as I have had some excellent meals in the past."

Having eaten satisfactorily previously I ordered the same meal ‘ moules frites sauce roquefort’ . The mussels which arrived were in a glutinous sauce which had separated leaving a clear ‘liquid’ at the bottom which, with remaining mussels, were cold and inedible . Having complained...without effect to the waitress I informed the manager as we were paying. He replied, “qu’est que il faut que je fasse «  ‘ what do you want me to do about it? » This is a seafood restaurant and carelessly prepared seafood can cause severe health problems. Prospective diners should therefore take note that this is a restaurant where no member of staff is prepared to take responsibility for poorly cooked meals.

Found this lovely restaurant by accident when the place we were heading to was closed. Midday Monday, took a table outside on the edge of the flooding bridge in this beautiful town. The staff were warm and friendly and the oysters, we had for starters,...were plump and local. Mussel for main plus the fish of the day which was delicately floured and delcious. Desserts were huge even the kids couldn't finish them. Reasonably priced with excellent portions. Will definitely be back. A+

Very friendly staff however they stopped selling Guinness a year ago and this has wrecked the ex-poat clientele who now go elsewhere the food is average and unimaginative though there is a petite brunette waitress on the first floor who has...an excellent customer friendly attitude otherwise forget it very overpriced in this unimaginative town

We only stopped for a drink but then the weather turned so we had a great lunch followed by coffee and a dessert. Staff very friendly and made the decision to stay for lunch so easy! A classic french cafe/pub with a great atmosphere and...one the locals enjoy!
