We planned on coming here with friends for a bachelor party… However after the « nice » welcome we are offered a glacial welcome from the staff. No beer, and only two choice on the menu because we are 15, and not welcome as a group of friends. It is widely known that for bachelor parties, it is known that people will be noisy and consume in your establishment. Here however, everything is furhter from the truth. They wouldn’t agree to actually really welcome us in their establishment and we actually thought about leaving the place if we had any other choice. In the 28 years of existence, i have never experienced any restaurant where i am banished from ordering anything even before sitting dow...
Have been to Lille a number of times and eaten at 2 of the 4 resteraunts in this chain .Menu is very similar in all of them and the food is great with friendly efficient staff. The decor in this one is probably more modern than the other traditional ones but still very good. Had a problem explaining to us the chicken in cheese with beer bread!but it is little pieces of bread in the sauce.Fabulous dish but really filing! They do the house wine in half litres at about 7.5 Euro i.e about £13 a litre and is great value.(The one by the cathedral is really nice too but seating is cosy with your neighbours but wine about 2 euro cheaper per litre). There for 3 nights and been already by the cathedra...
If you are a lover of cheese like me, I definetely recommend this place. The welsh was delicious, the ambiance great, the staff friendly. My only complain is that the proportion was too big and I couldn't eat the whole dish (lol).
Well worth a visit. Wasn't sure what to order but very helpful staff suggested a tasting plate of dishes- wasn't on the menu. Was delicious. Didn't need to eat any more that day. Tom and Luke both very good.
