We have visited this restaurant a number of times over the years as we have a second home in a village not too far away. We had given a glowing report to friends and arranged to meet them there for a meal. We first booked a table as it was a friday night and we remembered how busy they would be. The place was empty at 8pm and while we were there only two other couples came to eat. One of our friends chose to have the carpaccio, which looked great until she tried to eat it - it was still frozen solid and she could 'bang' it with her knife. We sent it back and said that we did not want it replacing as she had found it so off-putting. Our main meals were ok but nothing special. As they were not...

We walked here from staying in the next village and were delighted to find a real country bistro serving inexpensive, tasty food on a vine covered terrace which appears to be part of a church? tower. The restaurant inside looked good too: cosy in winter I would imagine. We had salad and an excellent confit du canard, local wine and would have tried their delicious sounding puddings but were remaining in control after cake-wolfing earlier in the day.Nice staff, and, the only time II think I've ever seen pink plastic chairs looking rather cool - teamed with candy striped table cloths and the green of the overhead canopy.

I have recently spent a month in the area and this restaurant has been a stand out of our trip. We visited on three occasions and were delighted with every occasion. As a group we tried a large selection of the menu with the Duck being a stand out, but the mussels and the fish were also a favorite. If you do get a chance and still have a little room left, the rustic cheesecake was amazing! As I don't speak French, it was a joy that the waitress spoke such great English and was absolutely lovely and very friendly. I would say that a trip to the area is not complete without trying this restaurant. I would gladly go back!

This was a real find whilst staying near Uzès several years ago, a lazy warm day and a slow drive found us in a small village that had terrace of flowers and what looked like a few tables and chairs. What really caught our eye was the impossible angle of the path along side. We stopped and had a drink , returning for a meal a few days later. We have been back every year, sometimes as a special family occasion and at other times for a quiet lunch, Tina is always charming, and loops UI have not mentioned the menu,. I am not going to as you need to experience it yourself, be prepared to be amazed!!! Book a table now

Recommended by friends but not sure if it would be open we arrived to be welcomed by Nicola who farms locally and runs this full of character establishment. No starters but huge main courses of the meat of the day served with dauphinois potatoes vegetable and a wonderful sauce, followed by cheese board and rose wine with on the house liqueurs, although not busy at that time were soon in conversation with Nicola and some other diners. Fantastic will definitely be back.

Whilst staying in a nearby guesthouse, we thought we'd give this a go. The food was simple but excellent. The food only surpassed by the hospitality and generosity shown to us by the host and owner. Be aware, he offers a mean homemade limoncello. Looking forward to returning on our next trip to the area.

Ate here one night during our week in Gattigues. Low key but lovely little gem. No menu - which made it so authentic. HUGE portions, only order a starter if you have a large stomach or haven't eaten all day.

As usual Nicoli a great host and made sure we had a great evening, he gave us free wine as we are regular dinners. The chef cooked an excellent meal.
