I have been to the Auberge de Colombaz 3 times the last 12 years and I wonder why I imagined this time the service would be better this time after my previous 2 disappointing experiences. Well, today the lady of the house convinced me never ever to stop there again during my future skitouring or hiking trips. The last 2 times the service was bad, the menu linited and super expensive, but this time, the lady of the house even refused to serve my wife and I an early afternoon tea, as she said the restaurant was complet while only 1 third of the tables were occupied. A real shame that a bar/restaurant in such a nice location can continue to treat their customers so rudely. We couldn 't believe...
We were very welcome the terrace is very pleasant, the view is breathtaking. Hiking to reach the very buccolic inn. We took beer, hot chocolate, blueberry pie and vine peach pie it's true that we didn't ask for the price of pies, in total for two people 25 euro it's a little expensive anyway. The hotel takes the blue card from 10 euro.
Absolutely fantastic evening. 3 Kms night walk up to the Auberge. Food was amazing and lots of it. Pascale was very friendly and hospitable. The toboggan run down at the end of the evening was hysterical. An absolute must, can’t wait to go back.
