I do not understand all the rave reviews. The service was awful, the food mediocre. we were put on a table and ignored, finally the waiter brought the menu, and went away. When he came back later he asked were we ready to order and we said yes, but we hadn't ordered any apero/drinks yet. He gave us the drinks menu and disappeared again. We had been there at least an hour when the waitress gave us the horrible chef's speciality, a giant brawn, couldn't touch that, which was without any drinks, we told her we hadn't had any yet. She took our order. We waited again. When she came back she took our food order. We waited again. Not much choice on the menu, rabbit or monkfish. Am never going to ea...
Although it’s a little “out of the way” this family run auberge merits the journey !Coquilles St Jacques in a saffron sauce ,Sanglier in an olive based sauce and even pied en pacquet .certainly not just a pretty picture on a plate ,although still well presented ,a more than ample serving and very pleasantly well served !Many notes of traditional Provençal cooking by two very large provençaux,The warning never to trust a small slim chef has no meaning here !Lovely meal ... good and fairly priced wine list ,this is the epitome of why French cuisine enjoys its reputation for excellent quality ,and “rapport qualité prix extraordinaire”
Visiting l'auberge is an astonishing experience. Situated in the magnificent nature surrounding Mt. Ventoux and with a menu that just tops any expectations you might have. Went ther for lunch and the only problem we saw, was that they do not accept credit cards, so remember cash! Absolutely recommendable.
We have been there for the fifth time in the last 10 years. Once again a great time enjoying best food on a lovely place. Had a young waitress serving us, great patience because we don’t speak French. Food fits the price more than enough
