We found our trip to the Auberge an absolute treat, we regularly visit restaurants in the area when visiting family in the area, and there are a selection of good and bad restaurants along with hidden gems like this. Having not visited this restaurant before we have managed to visit for both lunch with family and dinner with my wife, on both occasions the food was faultless in both the fish dishes and the steaks, with the scallops in particular being very strong, the service excellent even when on the lunch there was a party of 30 in we got served just at the right pace, the food from the amuse Boucher through to the dessert would all match top restaurants in cities and the presentation was...
We have visited this restaurant on a few occasions over the years, but it's some years since we last visited and we couldn't remember exactly where it was. It was only by chance that we discovered it again today and stayed for lunch with our small dog. We were not disappointed! We chose from the Special's menu: my husband from the 25€ and me from the 33€. The portions were larger than we remembered, so make sure you are hungry when you visit! I travel on business somewhere in the region of 400,000 miles a year and spend a great deal of time entertaining clients around the globe. How rare to stumble upon a true culinary gem nestled in the French countryside. Beautifully presented food where the taste and quality live up to the presentation. I would not hesitate to recommend this family owned restaurant where both the owners are present every night.
