le 17 juin étant de passage dans le village avec trois autre personnes pour manger le midi,nous nous sommes arrêter dans ce restaurant!!!.le plat du midi était assiette anglaise et en dessert des fraises,alors l'assiette anglaise : quelques tranches de charcuteries de très mauvaise qualité (gras à souhait, digne d'un magasin de grande distribution discount !) des pommes de terres à l'eau façon Daucy, des cornichons en mode mous, bref un désastre...Et pour couronner le tout, dans une région réputée pour ses fraises, en dessert, une coupelle composée de 2 fraises qui se battaient en duel, sans gout, qui avaient surement passé trop de temps en chambre froide.Le tout avec un demi pour la modique...
Nous faisions partie d'un groupe, donc nous étions attendus.Accueil acceptable.Pas de chauffage dans ce restaurant où tout le groupe a mangé avec les manteaux ou doudoune.Petit déjeuner médiocre . Café tiède à la chicorée et pain sans saveur ( sans doute de la veille)Pour le déjeuner: paupiettes et haricots verts sortis tout droit du congélateur. Gateau insipide également décongelé et pour terminer le fameux café tiède à la chicorée. Chicorée que l'on retrouvait d'ailleurs dans chaque tasse..En résumé, restaurant à éviter, on ne peut trouver plus mauvais....l
Used to go here regularly for an extremely good lunch for only 12€ including a glass of Bergerac. Then the restaurant was sold in 2010 and, sadly, the new owners did not keep up the tradition of excellent fare and excellent value for money. When we went (not knowing it had been sold) we took friends and we were so disappointed at the very poor quality of the meal and over-priced menu du midi (18€ from memory) and wine. Instead of a bill of around 50€ for the 4 including wine, it was twice that and very unsatisfactory. Never been back.
After studying the menu,and other diner's meals, I decided that the only thing I could reasonably eat was a pizza. I had a table that looked into a small part of the kitchen, (not a pleasant sight to say the least) which made my mind up to leave most of my pizza and just go. It was, purely and simply, just awful, and slighty grubby. Many English go here, but I did not see or hear any french. I can't understand why they have a certificate of excellence when they are anything but excellent;

This is a small restaurant open for lunch and dinner. The chef, Patrick, provides interesting and typically French food with a reasonable choice. The food is well prepared and presented. Service is friendly and efficient. Local wines are offered. There is a choice of one, two, three or four courses and coffee is available. The soup (the first course) is rather special. There is a good variety of entrees and plat principals as well as desserts. The restaurant is worth a visit.
I had the most unexpected blissful experience here spring 2012. I did not eat there in 2010 so I cannot compare the experience to the previous owner. However, my lunch, which I enjoyed with a lovely 1/4 carafe of Bergerac for a very good price, was delicious. I sat on the terrace and savoured the experience for a few hours, writing and reading. The service was excellent, the food was excellent. I recommend ~ and I will return!!
