"Auberge de Miemart was a perfect find on our cycling trip from Chateau du Papes towards Roquemaure. Even though we arrived near closing time, the team were very welcoming. We enjoyed (and have become addicted to) Tielles Setoise squid pie for starter with local fish and meat dishes alongside a tasty red wine. A 3-course meal was only 17 EUR and very tasty. Definitely give a try, even though it is slightly off the beaten track."

First dish was a salad huge and with good ingredients. Fine start. Then came the meat which was Bavette with fries. The meat was un eatable!! You could not even cut it with the knife (the knives were anyway not for meat, but... . We told the waitress that it was jnot possible to chew, she said nothing, took the plates and asked what we wanted for dessert. And no excuse, no regret, no mentioning of a change, no nothing and since we did not then want the dessert, then just the bill. So we paid and got out, and if this is the way of service then avoid this place. Anyway the whole place looked somewhat worn out from the outside, but fairly okay inside. Maybe we were a bit unlucky, but it is stra...

This is not a restaurant you happen to stumble on. We only found it because we shop occasionally at Les Jardins des Îles, which is just around the corner and is also not a tourist destination. The price is right, the food is good (maybe too much) and the service is friendly and efficient. The patio is sheltered by a large woven tarp where ch catches falling leaves and other things you don’t want on your plate. Head here for déjeuner and then go to Les Jardins for tomatoes, veggies, wine, and other goodies. Plus, you’re just out in the country...no hassle, parking, touristy shops...the real deal
