As you enter, the only good thing you'll notice about this restaurant is the view. Upon arriving, the staff did not welcome us nor acknowledge us at all.With such an extensive 5 page menu, the food would arrive at your table within 5 minutes. Indicating that the food was prepared beforehand.When complaining about an overcooked stake, the waiter took the plate away without any apology or verbal compensation. Not 3 minutes later, a plate of raw meat was slammed in front of our face without any comment whatsoever from the waiter. When this was shown to the waiter a second time (a rude, discriminatory man), he simply shrugged and walked away. This restaurant is an outdated and overpriced dining...
After a day of touring the area and spending a wonderful hour or two at the Cava in St. Saphorin we were looking for a place for a nice casual dinner. We just happened to look at maps on our iPhone and came across this little gem just because it was 1-2 miles away. Little did we know we would have a wonderful view of the lake and mountains from our terrace table . The waitstaff was very engaging and funny. But the food was such a wonderful surprise. Reasonably priced and good. Our son had the gnocchi, my wife had the egg plant pasta and I had the Spanish style shrimp. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the wine. we noticed this beautiful terrace a day before, while we toured the spectacular weinberge. the first impression was confirmed the next day, we were welcomed friendly and polite. the terrace is airy, the tables are in a decent distance, I would say more than necessary, but it leads a pleasant feeling. the service is very friendly and prompt while not pushing. the menu is probably not as advanced as in other facilities (3 or 4 fish options) 1 pig, 1 ****, 1 calf and 1 bark option. we chose the filet de perche and the ferra (fish of the day,) both from the Leman Lake and I can say that they were great. Together with the local chasellas, the white dry wine was a very nice experience.
We had just concluded a Lavaux Express excursion to look at the famed UNESCO wine terraces and looking for a fitting dinner. Our bed and breakfast recommended this restaurant. The food was really very good and we had seafood and the fish and shellfish were fresh and delicious with very large portions, compared to what we in Asia are used to. We tried only one salad and the eggplant was lovely. The waiter was from Portugal and gave good recommendations but alas, was not good in English. We tried the white wines which were locally produced and delicious complement to the seafood

After a long day of walking around Lavaux trying to find an open winery, I became frustrated that almost nothing was open. We luckily passed a local, who directed us to Auberge de Rivaz since they serve wine from all of the vineyards anyway. At first I was overwhelmed with the wine options, so I randomly chose a bottle of rose. It ended up being excellent and my husband and I were very pleased with it. We also shared a pizza (we weren't really there to eat a full dinner), which was delicious as well. We got there right in time because the patio filled up shortly after.
If you're not blond and blue eyed and old don't even bother entering this restaurant. You will be greeted rudely and they will ignore you through out your third rated meal.The middle aged waiter (probably french) despises serving you.The food is of low quality and not tasty.If I were you, I would not spend my hard earned cash in this place with steaks at 50 dollars!!!
after a walk in lavaux we visited an unplanned visit. we were very treated (very! hospitable by the staff, they were even so generous to let us taste different wee. the seafood pata was superior. very good, qualitatiw high quality food and a wonderful view. the environment to complete it all. another plus is that it is conveniently located next to the train station.
Celebrated our son and his girlfriend's 21st birthdays here. The welcome and service were fantastic creating a fun atmosphere. The food was great, most of us had the set menus, served with great timing and an excellent mix of flavours. Served with wine produced from grapes a few hundred metres away. Thanks for creating a great family night!

We only visited for a coffee on a sunny morning and sat on the lovely terrace overlooking Lake Geneva. We had lunch plans elsewhere, but this definitely looks to be a good choice for lunch or dinner after a visit to Vinorama see separate...review.
Hopefully, everything is good and with something more could be what it was earlier. thanks for the memories they were all really good.
