Auberge de Savoie is located by the river in the old town. Our dinner was at dusk with lights just coming on. That with the lake and mountains in the background created a lovely ambiance. Our food matched the setting; each dish was special in taste and presentation. My wife started with beef tartare served over greens with a tasty aioli; her main was veal tenderloin with a lovely brown sauce and spring vegetables. I started with ahi served over a delicious veggie mold of fava beans and layered tomatoes and aioli on the side. In the heart of the old town fine dining with excellent service. Different from the general touristic menu on offer. More adult than for families with children. Reservations recommended. Good wine selection . Not cheap but worth the price.
It was a spontaneous decision, it was the right decision: delicious food, friendly & attentive staff. Unbelievably good french cheese & superb wine. Stunning view over the cannals. An unforgettable evening in this neat restaurant!
I ate here whilst watching the crowd pass on a Sunday. The fish was excellent and the coffee was served with little treats. A bit pricey but given the location next to the canal and the pleasant service, worth the visit.

Our hotel booked this restaurant for us on their recommendation.We chose options from one of the set menus and were very pleased. Food and service was very good indeed and it was right in the heart of historic Annecy.
I've been visiting this venue occasionally over the years and it's always a success! Staff is very professional and fish always fresh and cooked to perfection. The cheese trolley is to die for.
