First lunch inside in this very charming chalet setting, staff made of a pleasant young crew who's using tablets to optimize service lead time and it worked very well for us. 2nd day on their terrace, highly requested given the sunshine so good we were there early (booking highly recommended as we learnt). Yes it was tough with no booking but we could constantly witness that the staff was doing its utmost to accomodate as many clients as possible. We come very regularly in Megève and in the region and live in Paris (not known for friendly service either!) but we never experienced this kind of poor service. We asked at the very beginning if we could be served quickly because we were on a rush and eventhough the first plates arrived 50 min after the order... ...and we had to wait 15min more for everyone to be serve.The server came 3 times asking us to change our order because he realised that our initial order was not available anymore eventhough no one ever appologied. Some serious relaxing to be done here in the deckchairs,perched right on the brink of an amazing panoramic mountain-fest. Hard to know whether to ski it or just lie there and keep looking at it going "wow"! Being full-board at our hotel we didn't eat here but drinks were great and the waiter really warm & welcoming even in the face of our dreadful attempts at speaking the local,lingo.Perfect place to stop and enjoy all the incredible scenery ( ...& the cakes looked amazing too!!)
We have often stopped at this Auberge for a mid morning coffee which has been delicious. The views are stunning making this the best coffee stop in the area. However, one day we decided to have lunch. The service was slow and the food was unremarkable. The onion soup had little flavour and the omelettes were under seasoned. The proprietor works very hard and is very friendly but he was let down by his staff. We would still go there for coffees.

This is a cozy place on the slopes with amazing views. We have eaten lunch there twice and just stopped for coffee once. Service is friendly, but inefficient during a busy lunch period. Food was good, but not great. Would return just for the views. Saw they will be operational this summer, and will definitely give them another shot then!
Cozy, friendly restaurant at the slopes on Le Christomet in Jaillet/Combloux. Good food, good service also in English. Especially superb dessert pies, still taste them in my mouth.
