We had an enjoyable lunch on the shaded terrace on a swelteringly hot day. Service was efficient and friendly despite the heat and the crowds. The lunch fixed price menu was excellent value. We had an avocado and shrimp salad followed by a skirting beef steak served with salad and home made fries. Not a spectacular choice but a sure value and of excellent quality. Don’t be put off by the dated off the Main Street entrance. The lunch room and terrace at the back make it a lovely spot for a leisurely lunch on a sunny day.

We stayed in the hotel and decided to take all our meals here as it was so good. Althpough we are not vegetarians, the vegetarian menu looked so good we tried it one night and were very impressed with it. On another occasion, they served me with the best fish soup I have ever tasted. Breakfast at 9 euros was served buffet style and was copious and varied. Although there is no dedicated parking it is possible to park on the street almost opposite. The staff were good and spoke some English and everywhere was immaculate.

We have been visiting Cheval Blanc since 1989 and are pleased that it is now approaching a similar standard to the days of M Mme Le Croller. The ambience is good and the staff polite and welcoming. The food is delicious although the vegetables left a little to be desired. The asparagus was overcooked but the courgette and carrots were too al dente. Apart from this slight criticism it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We had a wonderful 3 course dinner here. The adults and kids both really enjoyed it and the restaurant itself is very modern. It can get a little pricey however, we ordered off of the 20 euros menu which had a great variety of choice. Great service too. Would definitely return!
