Things started very well: the beer, rose and starters came out fine, all most enjoyable. However, things took a severe turn for the worse when the main course arrived. My girlfriend is Brazilian and likes her meat well-cooked. Her lamb was certainly slightly better done than is usual in France, but it also contained a nasty surprise, camouflaged in the dark sauce: a well-smoked cigarette butt, complete with cardboard roach/ filter. My girlfriend initially kept quiet, but when my brother noticed our disgust, marched into the kitchen with the plate demanding an explanation. The chef claimed it was "impossible" and suggested that the butt had been placed there by one of us. He offered us anothe...

We had an early dinner here with four adults and four children on a day when they had an evening market, and the restaurant filled up quickly. Because this restaurant has ample outdoor seating with a garden style terrace, the overall vibe is casual. Our children were not as packed in as we found many cafes to be, so they were easier to control without interfering with other restaurant guests. Our group had the Steak Au Poivre, which was very good, and the Pasta with Cepes, with pizza for the children. All of the food was very good. The price of the entire meal, with desserts for the children and wine for the adults, was very reasonable and the food was as good as any we had in Dordogne. The...
The restaurant is located in St Leon-sur-Vezere, a village renowned for its beauty, and has a most attractive terrace where most people choose to eat in good weather. We ate here twice. One meal was very good, well cooked and with excellent desserts while the other was rather mediocre (stringy chicken, tarte au citron with thick pastry). Service was good on both occasions but the house wine, red or white, is not to be recommended.05
We were Visiting this part of the Dordogne on a short holiday and booked in for an evening meal.We were made to feel very welcome, the owners wife spoke English (thank goodness) and explained some of the entries on the menu. After ordering our food was served about 10 minutes later. All four of us enjoyed our meal which was served with an excellent red wine. We would recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful village. Book a table now
couple with two children. 15 and 6 years. This meal was a very nice surprise. warm welcome. The meats served were very good, the flavors of the north were a very pleasant discovery for us. The toilet is very clean. A small mistake slipped into the bill, the menu dessert was billed in addition. but no problem since we will return, you will pay us the aperitif.Thank you for this good time and very soon.
Don't expect to be served within any reasonable (or even unreasonable) time frame. We sat there for over 20mins without even being offered water tried to call them over a few times, completely ignored
A mistake was made with our booking. They thought were arriving and there were 12. However, we were swiftly accommodated even though the restaurant was busy. Good pizzas for children.
These are by far the best Pizza in the Dordogne. Would certainly recommend also the lovely salads on offer, portions are generous too. Book a table now
We stopped in StLeon on our way to another town, because we were hungry and didn't know where we'd find another stop.
Went here several times, but it went down in quality during the time we visited. Inexpensive, but obvious why.
