Felt so sorry for half of the staff, but unfortenately the dont stand a chance. I have not seen such a disorganized and bad managed restaurant in a long time. We were welcomed at the table, given menu's and then left alone for 15 min. before we could order. Our drinks came fast but for our meals we had to wait a long time. When the food finally arrived, only the order of my dinner companion was brought. Apprently some ingrediënts were not available for my dish so they asked if it was Ok to replace them with other ingrediënts. We stopped in for lunch, asked for a table and we're promptly shown one. It had just been cleared so no cutlery, glassware etc. This wasn't a problem but it became apparent that the staff were either run off their feet or just couldn't be bothered making an effort to sort the table out. About 20 mins later a surly waiter appeared with the most disgusting grey, smelly cloth to wipe down our table; that should've been another sign for us to leave but I was thinking with my stomach and not my head. Busy with tour buses finishing lunch. We were given a table but no one came with even a menu for twenty minutes. Went inside to ask for help. Female at cash register just looked away when we spoke to her and didn't respond or acknowledge in any way. We decided to grab a packaged ice cream and not wait any longer--who knows if we ever would have received any service! Cashier happily took our money, but then again did not reply to a brief question--just looked away and ignored us! Our French is very limited, but she could have at least gestured or acknowledged if she didn't understand. too many restaurant choices in the area to deal with such unpleasantness. After swimming at the gorge we decided to eat here. At first we were not so sure because you'd expect a "tourist trap". Nothing of the kind. My eldest daughter has a severe food allergy, the waiter checked with the cook and we were questioned again, and thereafter told what we could order. They also told us that the pans and utensils would be clean. The waiter was very friendly and calm. I love it when the staff doesn't give you a stressed impression. They forgot to remove the plaque with "weekend special" menu on it, but it was not a problem if I wanted that. The food was tasty. Everybody enjoyed dinner. Stopped here twice on visits to the Pont D’Arc. Given its location opposite the arch it’s a very good lunch stop although beware that it doesn’t open until the stroke of midday. The ratio of serving staff to customers is low so don’t expect fast service but it’s a lovely location to take your time and the staff are friendly and very competent. The chicken ‘cake’ with a rich sauce and the jambon and melon are both excellent light lunches at reasonable cost. There is private parking but we never had any trouble parking in the proximate, free, public spaces so we could enjoy the arch, river and beach (all very well maintained in the National Park).
We were not there at the height of summer but I imagine if you were this could possibly hugely affect the 'experience' i.e. a large restaurant, very touristic location and staff either up to their eyeballs (or worn out by a long season)....but for us, and our party of 40, it was excellent. The food was very good and the service likewise. Service prompt etc. Nothing was a problem and the children exceedingly well catered for.Nice views/backdrop.
tasty food, big portions. We had a dinner and the place looked very nice in the sunset . Near by, there were a wineyard which offered us a plesant view.Because it is placed close to a turistic attraction , there are all kind of people as clients, but didn't buther us.
A very busy place due to its location near the arch. The menu had a nice variety but the food was so so and we found the house wine a big disappointment. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the crowd and tour groups that come through.

Went there to have a coffee and an ice cream and had to pay over 6 euro's!! We had to sit at a sunny table because all of the shadow ones are reserved for 'eating' guests. Not nice
