I was glad I had made a reservation as the dining room was full on a grey late October day. Friendly welcome from the server who, while serving the whole restaurant and run off his feet, had a word for everyone and delivered each meal without delay or undue haste (so very impressed by the server). The lunchtime 13.50 menu was very copious and typical French country restaurant fare done well; soup, followed by a prepared plate of salad, charcuterie, mushrooms, beets and such. For mains, we had a choice of duck or fish the duck was a large portion of breast perfectly done, accompanied by fried potatoes (real potatoes) and string beans.
