Very traditionally decorated restaurant with smiling, friendly and helpful staff. We visited out of season (its open all year round!!! so the menu was small, may be the menu is always small? But it doesn't matter because everything on the menu is cooked to perfection. They serve very local seasonal produce like hare and wild boar. The desserts were also home made. If you want to taste the local cuisine (cooked perfectly then this restaurant will not let you down. They also have a shaded outside seating area which looks across a road then vine yards, which will be very appealing in the summer months. Great value, highly recommend!!

This restaurant wasn't my first choice when looking for somewhere to have a Sunday lunch after visiting La Grotte Chauvet but I'm really glad the other place was closed! Clearly popular with the locals, the place was buzzing when our party of 6 arrived. Service with a smile, the adults in our group chose the menu d'automne and the children took the kids menu which was a choice of salad and omlette or saussicon with potatoes gratin (a nice change from the nuggets usually on offer for the kids menu). Our meals were delicious, produce locally sourced and I thought great value for money. We'll come back for sure.

We really enjoyed our typical French Saturday lunch visit. The staff spoke enough English to help us get by but this was definitely eating local. Salads were great and just what we needed. We were driving so didn't have wine, but sparkling water on the sunny terrace was just fine. We were surrounded by a family celebrating grandmère's birthday and a few other groups of older French people enjoying each other and the food. Very memorable experience.

We stopped at la Farigoule on the way without planning and we thought we might not be served because it was past 2pm; however, we were wrong and were welcomed with a smile and an offer to have a salad as the kitchen was closed. We were delighted to be able to eat and the food was like to welcome : excellent! It is very close the grotte de la madeleine and it is worth the stop.
