Sur notre trajet des vacances, nous nous sommes arrêtés là par hasard. Nous avons pris notre dîner en terrasse.Le cadre est magnifique. Un accueil chaleureux. Une petite tapenade avec ses croutons, accompagnée de cannelés nous a été offert ppur nous faire patienter, puis un gaspaccio délicieux, fait maison.Toute la cuisine est faite maison, avec des produits frais .puis nous avons dormi là. Une chambre au calme .Petit déjeuner pris en terrasse.Comme c'était le jour de la fête des mères, une rose était déposée sur mon plateau.Quelle belle attention .....Nous nous sommes tellement sentis bien que nous y sommes retournés sur le chemin du retour.

I was with friends in the nearby hamlet of Lageyrat and we visited this restaurant one evening. It had been recommended by someone in Lageyrat. And what a splendid meal we had. The decor may not be the height of fashion but the food was excellent. We chose from the €22 menu and I enjoyed every mouthful. The sorbet - apple and cider - served to cleanse the palate was especially good and the 'profiteroles maison' delicious. I'd certainly be very happy to go there again when next visiting my friends in Lageyrat.
Nous avions eu un "coup de cœur" pour cette auberge, lors d'un précédent passage à Chalus. Le changement de l'équipe directionnelle n'a pas altéré notre bonne opinion. La cuisine est simple mais bien faite et généreuse. Le premier menu à 14 euros est très convenable.Le suivant à 22 euros (mise en bouche, entrée, plat et dessert) est irréprochable ! Le service est attentif, efficace et souriant. Une étape qui ne déçoit pas ...

Le nom du restaurant, la bâtisse pouvaient me faire espérer un bon moment.Mais hélas grande déception dans l'accueil le service la décoration et encore plus dans le repas... J'ai pris le menu du midi et franchement ce n'était pas top ... vraiment dommage, le boeuf plein de nerfs... alors que nous sommes dans un haut lieu de l'élevage bovin. Bref je ne conseil pas ce restaurant.
We come there once but not two, too expensive for what it is. On the outside we could think of a gastronomic but far from there. We're falling on something with a lot of letting go, but the worst is cooking no very dirty hygiene. Good hearer...
Stopped here for lunch - not impressed. Low quality food, wine not great and no ambiance, due to only 2 other customers!
