From the moment we arrived, the wait staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. On a warm evening, they ensured we had a lovely table inside.
The starters were truly a delight. The arancini and meatballs were both very tasty, and we also ordered the fungi pizza, which was absolutely fantastic.
Once we finished our starters, the main courses arrived, and they did not disappoint. The ravioli and gnocchi were outstanding and a treat for the taste buds. After enjoying those delicious dishes, we decided to try the profiteroles, which were delightful.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to return, especially since they will have craft beers on tap.
in a word. disappoint. 1. The aromen were great, but the service was ridiculously fast. it felt like we were getting out of the place. 2. my pasta dish was warm and came out in about 4 or 5 minutes. something like this spaghettini with crabs should be easy to serve, warm, steaming and fresh. *Rating is a 3.5* Have dined here a few times now and have always left feeling a bit ambivalent about the food which can be at times quite hit and miss. This particular lunch we opted for the chargrilled octopus special (very dry and a bit tasteless), cheesy garlic pizza (ok), pizza ortalana (good) and a side salad. Other than the pizza, I have found the food here to be a bit ordinary to be honest. Ambience is a bit lacking and service on a busy day can be frustrating (to get anyone’s attention). However the place is always packed for dinner every night so they are obviously doing something right.
This has become our go-to spot. The locals frequent this place, and it's a friendly atmosphere where everyone seems to know each other. It's a quick and easy option with no reservations required, and we've always been fortunate to find a table. The Italian food is authentic, with delicious pizza and pasta. However, their wine list could use some improvement, especially in terms of offering more variety at lower price points. The restaurant has a laid-back vibe, with reasonable prices and generous portions. It's exactly what South Perth needed!

Love the menu at this place, a nice range of authentic Italian classics and customer favorites. The pasta Marinara special was amazing, fresh seafood and homemade al dente pasta. The pizza was thin and crispy with a sweet tomato sauce, delicious simplicity is key. The venue is nice, just difficult to hear as it gets quite busy. Definitely will be going back for the Ravioli.
Automatic seems like a nice place for a business lunch. The Margherita pizza was tasty, tomatoes flavorsome and just the right amount of mozzarella. Would have been good to have olive oil on the table as the base was stiff and difficult to cut through. Overall, a nice long lunch destination.
eating was nice, my favorite gnocchi in perth, but the portion size was very small. was still hungry. that was my second visit, and would definitely go again if the portions were larger. for a $30 dish they would expect something that was not the size of a child's meal.
I absolutely loved the pizzas at Automatic; they were exactly what I was looking for. The turnaround time for both takeout and dining in is impressive and very quick.
