Very good place to eat. A quaint and cozy atmosphere in a place that has been there for ages. Although one has to be careful about their sidewalk advertisement that states you get an appetizer/soup, main dish, dessert and even a glass of wine or beer all for about $20. What they don't tell you (or perhaps it is there is very small type) is that only a very few main courses fall into this category and other dishes will cost more... some a LOT more. Luckily, my wife and I were fine with the available fixed price choices and had a wonderful meal. This place is very popular and reservations are recommended. We did not know this but also just happened to stop by during a slight lull in the servin...

Authentic french restaurant. We got the daily special which comes with the soup , the entree and the dessert along with a house wine or beer We got the bison entree which was spectacular to go with the fresh creamy onion soup . We tasted the apple wine for the first time and loved it and the maple syrup pie is to die for. The food seems to be a little pricey but the experience of tasting some authentic food along with the energetic servers simply serves the purpose. And they speak perfect english to help tourists like us. Located in the street of old Quebec, highly recommended!!
Had two meals at this place during my trip to Quebec City. Located in a quaint building, atmosphere is great. Also waiter and waitress were very friendly and energetic. Price for the lunch special is a fairly good deal. My favourites were the onion soup, beef Wellington and maple syrup pie. The meat pie I tried another day was also good. Maple brûlée was good too but a little bit too sweet for me (most likely because I don’t really have a sweet tooth . Also the food comes in great portion so I’d suggest go there with an empty stomach :
We got right in for a table of four and had the $20 lunch that included a glass of wine appetizer entre and dessert. The wild meat pate was excellent as was the meat pie and maple pie. Service was excellent and we felt like we had gone back in time sitting in the low wood beamed room with stone fireplace. Very cozy. Book a table now
Fantastic restaurant for French Canadian cuisine. Everything we ordered was good. The beef wellington and their meat pies are delicious and full of flavour. The maple bread pudding is one of the best I've ever had. Absolutely a must try when in Quebec. Their price fix menu offers great value.
4 of us tried the lunch special course meal, so had almost all menus with many upgrade including french onion soup $8), seafood platter $30, meh), beef bourguinon etc. Bit pricey $60/p) but generally great food. Good place to taste Quebec! Interior is old Quebecer house, too)
Fabulous date night experience! We were nestled in a corner booth upstairs. The wine was refreshing, the service was impeccable, and the meat pie and bison bourguignon were mouth-watering! We are dreaming of returning in the winter to enjoy a meal by the fire.
We ate dinner here on a Monday night, enjoyed the meat pie and the Bison! If you visit here, make sure to ask for Sam! He is a lovely individual and has great recommendations : I will always remember your hospitality! Your Indian friends from Ontario! Book a table now
Loved the experience. Food was pretty good and our waiter was attentive too. This is also a pretty charming historic house to visit, one of the oldest buildings in Quebec. Reservations are strongly recommended during busy times.
Amazing experience! The 3 meats meal was tender and so worth the expense. Dessert the chocolate pie with salted caramel divine.

"Beautiful courtyard for breakfast. Standard buffet but the courtyard was lovely. Did not stay at the Hotel so not sure what that was like."
