Eight of us, on a golf holiday in Le Touquet, drove the short distance into Etaples for dinner. We had enjoyed their excellent lunches in the past. We found the sheer quality of the whole dining experience here to be impressive and amazing. The view over the River Canche and Le Touquet airport is beautiful, and we watched a stunning sunset over the estuary. The staff were most helpful, efficient and friendly. The fish is evidently all freshly caught. Above all the quality of all of the dishes, and their most beautiful presentation, was quite outstanding. Go for the fish of the day - you may not know its English name but it will be delicious for sure. Mine was firm white fillets, grilled, with a seaweed butter sauce, lots of bright well-cooked veg in another buttery sauce, a couple of potatoes, lemon wedge - delicious. Freebie starter of little scallop coral mousse & another fishy mouthful. Cafe gourmand is a big dessert portion, all good - fresh fruit with white choc mousse, creme brulee, baba, choc parfait, strawberry ice cream, biscuit to push with. Nice bread & butter. Whether visiting the seaside resort of nearby le Touquet or the WW1 Etaples cemetery minutes up the road, this excellent seafood restaurant is the place to stop off for lunch or dinner.The fishermen run establishment is atop its own fishmongers and everything about its restaurant was good.Super presentation of fresh fish dishes, preceded by amuses bouche, exuded flavour and were prepared and delivered with care.We variously tried differing menus, one of us having the top price selection including wine for each course. She was not disappointed!Would we go back? Certainment, no doubt at all!
great place, fantastic fish, quite an extensive menu in addition to some great chef's specials on the board. Good views overlooking the river and airfield, entertaining if you have kids! Friendly staff who also spoke good English; we had Sunday lunch here, best to book in advance as it can get busy; easily done on-line. We visit this place every year on our annual day trip/weekend

A really fine sea food and fish restaurant but it should be as it sits above the fresh fish marketThe restaurant is formal as are the staff but that is the old classic style Views of La Canche and a fine fish and sea food menu round off the experience as does a reasonable billAll in all a really nice lunch
We went here on a friends recommendation and weren't disappointed. the menu is vast and whilst it was too hot to eat a lot, I would have liked to try some of the shellfish.We had Bisque and Cabillaud, fixed menu E29,50, good value, wines well priced.Nice location, good service, would splash out next time.
We had no reservation for a Saturday evening but took a chance, arrived early, were welcomed and found a table with super views over the river, sunset etc.Nice range of food and wines - absolutely delicious on arrival, even piping hot.Very reasonably priced for such good quality food and service.
Nothing negative to say about the food, however it was not outstanding considering they have brilliant fish available downstairs.Staff are polite but not warm or friendly in our experience.I would not go back there

The restaurant is in a square shape with the best views at the rear of the building overlooking the boats & bridge.A great stop off before heading back to the tunnel or ferry
Visited for my husband's birthday. The food was sublime. Service excellent, they even brought water for our dog. Would highly recommend.
