We had planned to lunch at a much more expensive restaurant nearby but had neglected to call ahead and found it had not one but two party bookings so we wondered down the road and found Aux Tilleuls. Friendly welcome, the lady greeted us in English but then had a panic attack when she realised she didn't know the english for some items on the menu, so we switched back to French. Fixed lunchtime menu with three choices for entreé and for plat, including a huge bowl of moules which will always win my lady's heart. It didn't have the views of the place we failed to get into, but at half the price, add a walk along the riverside, a very pleasant break to our travel.
Very friendly little village brasserie bar. Boss, boss and their friendly, helpful son. Local shops, home-cooked meals, simple, good. Warm environment. It is the soul of the village. Quality home cooking with fresh produce. If you appreciate simplicity, simple, hearty dishes. Karaoke on certain evenings, this is an address not to be missed.
