Avanti has expanded its outdoor dining to a very pretty wedding tent like arrangement in the parking lot white table cloths, chandeliers, candlelights. Their usual patio is also available. Best of all, they are serving all the regular items on the menu. Their prosciutto pizza is fabulous just right saltychewy prosciutto on every slice with melting bufalo mozzarella, green and red peppers, light tomato base and a sprinkle of goat cheese on top. Yum! My companion had the frutti di mare pasta that had lots of seafood in a white wine sauce. Also very flavorful. The basket of crispy flat bread and garlic topped rolls is always a winner. Highly recommended for really reasonably priced always tasty...
Nice place! I hated the main dining area was closed due to COVID but the outdoor seating area was still very nice food was great service was good but we felt as tho they rushed us on everything from ordering to paying the tab there was also a very loud beyond obnoxious bday party that had no consideration for the other guest granted that’s not the restaurants fault but they maybe could have managed them better or cut them off sooner as they were very drunk all in all tho it was still a nice experience
I am saddened to hear that the owners of Avanti's are retiring and have sold the restaurant. It is unfortunate to see another longtime establishment in Pasadena go. I have been a fan of their food ever since they had their pizza cafe on Lake Avenue. I have great memories of celebrating a big birthday party there, where all the guests enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and menu. I wish Bobby and Mina all the best in their retirement and future travels.
Our first time at the restaurant. We got seated immediately. There was a slight delay in taking our food order. Food was hot and very tasty. One issue with the shrimp plate my daughter ordered. Shrimp was not devained. Our waitress was quick to offer another dish and placed the new order as '911 ' which was great. We will definitely return again.
