I'm very disappointed with this place, while the food was ok and the staff is very nice, the owners play games when you use your cards. I didn't notice until I went back in to order something I missed on my first order, but there is a little and I mean little 1.5 inch by 2 5 inch that they have prices for cash and prices for cards, but they don't list 2 prices on anything. For example my $5.25 rice was $8.00 using my card. I have been at their Bayside restaurant and was happy to find this place, but I will not go back nor will I recommend anyone to go there when they have deceptive practices like this. Ordered the combination platter with chicken souvlaki and pork. I have had more flavorful souvlaki for$4 from a street cart. While not terrible neither the pork or chicken was that flavorful. The lemon potatoes were the least flavorful lemon potatoes I have ever had from a Greek restaurant. The tkzatiki sauce and pita were very good. The platter was $19.75 and came with two meats, salad or soup and a side plus pita. For the price the amount of meat given was chintzy. It was the smallest portion of meat I have ever had in an entree in a Greek restaurant plus one of the chicken cubes was inedible as it was all fat and grizzle. Will not return.
WOW!! This place is sooooo delicious!!!!! Started with the Feta Fries. Then got 2 vegetarian pita sandwiches- falafel grilled veggies. Of course had to get a spanakopita!! Ended my delicious meal with these dessert pita chips! They were so delicious! Serves with both Nutella and marshmallow fluff. If you haven't been here, do yourself a favor and get here ASAP!!
First time ordering from Avli although I've passed by so many times. Wanted to do take out tonight and decided to try it. Well! The best lemon potatoes ever! I had the chicken donor platter, my husband had the gyro platter and everything was delicious. Delivered exactly when they said it would be here and was still hot. Will definitely order from them again.

If the Greek gods were here today they would feel the power of Avli little Greek kitchen. The small cozy aroma, to the fantastic twist on Greek food, Avli is the feast that is meant not just for the gods but you as well. Some of the best gyros, and sandwiches I've had, and I look forward to going back since I'm around the block. Gem of gems in Nassau County!
I just ordered takeout from Avli for the first time and am in love! I ordered the keftedakia and the maroulosalata salad. The keftedakia are the best I have had in years! The salad was so fresh and delicious; it didn’t need any dressing and was the perfect pairing for the keftedakia. Avli will be my only go to for Greek food.
Tried to give this place a second chance. Today I found a fly in my soup. I also was waiting outside watching the guy prepare my salad, he wasn't wearing gloves and touched everything with his hands. Not really into flies or someone touching the food I'm about to eat with their hands...
The food was spectacular. Everything we ordered was delicious and we ordered a lot. It was a very nice dining experience and our waitress was the sweetest and most helpful you could ever want to serve you.

Although put waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed, she was polite and friendly. The food was excellent! Lighting and ambience had a nice Italian family feel. Highly recommend you stop by.
Looks to be out of business. Stopped by at 1pm on a Saturday and it was closed. Look inside and soda refrigerator is empty and all seats are on top of the counter
