However, it was clear that A&W was understaffed during our visit, with only two servers managing both the front and back of the restaurant. Our server worked hard to keep up with the orders at each table, though it was obvious that the situation was quite stressful for her. Despite the hectic environment, she remained friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. **What We Ordered:** - **All Beef Coney Cheese Dog (Regular):** I wish I had chosen the footlong instead, as I was still hungry after finishing my meal. Nevertheless, it was a very tasty beef hot dog. - **Deluxe Cheeseburger Combo with Fries:** This dish was delicious, and my family really enjoyed it. The only downside w...

This classic, old-timey spot on the outskirts of Lake George Village can still bring it! Sure, they have sadly (but probably wisely discontinued the roller skating servers that I remember from my youth, but still the same charming little hut from which you can order some presumably unhealthy but still incredibly tasty burgers, hot dogs and fried appetizers and enjoy some comfortable outdoor seating which, let's be honest, is a bit neater and more comfortable than in car dining. While I'm always a fan of French fries, particular kudos for the onion rings and jalapeño poppers here--one of the rare spots where I might recommend these over the fries (or, you know... why not all? . And of course...

I don’t think I’ll be returning to this restaurant anytime soon, at least not for the food. It’s a pity because it has been a tradition in Lake George for many years—I even have souvenir mugs from as far back as 2008. Now, I would only recommend stopping by for ice cream or a root beer. We ended up spending over $60 for two chili cheese foot longs, a burger, two root beers, and a root beer float with a souvenir mug. I've heard good things about New Way Lunch, which is about 10 minutes up the road near Warrensburg—it sounds like a great local spot for lunch, and I’ll definitely have to check it out.

It's not a bad place. The people are nice, it's just the food quality that's not that great. The food is fast food like hamburgers and hot dogs. But it's old so I already expected this. If you're into that then you might like it. Apparently it's the last A&W open so it gives you that old and musty kind of vibe. I like that they bring the order to your car but it's a small/tight parking lot. The A&W root beer is freshly made, which is very cool, but it tasted a bit different. That's because they use real cane sugar- I just prefer the canned root beer because it tastes less sweet. Book a table now

Extremely friendly service! Love the casual outdoor seating. The root beer floats are delicious! Food was a mixed bag... Chili cheese fries were delicious and fresh and hot. Chicken sliders are awful. The chicken is battered, not breaded-and way too thick for a slider. The breast meat was dry and overcooked with no flavor at all. Corn dog nuggets were tasty, but it would have been nice if they had a spicy mustard. They had either yellow mustard, or a cloyingly sweet honey mustard. I'd go back, but I'd definitely skip the chicken sliders.

Regarding the food, I ordered the fish and was served three minuscule pieces that hardly resembled fish. At $18, the portion size is incredibly small. I recognize the effects of inflation, but for just a few dollars more, I could dine at a sit-down restaurant, enjoy a proper piece of fish, and receive attentive service. If you’re just after a quick meal, it's somewhat acceptable, but if you expect the level of service that A&W Lake George used to be known for, you'll likely be disappointed.

I went to A W in Lake George NY last year and it was terrible. I had what they call Chicken Sliders which were very small and had hardly anything on them, french fries were terrible not hot at all, I want my French Fries hot. I us to get great Chicken sandwiches there. They've got a new owner, and I'm looking forward to it being better food, I hope they don't disappoint me.

I thought this was a carhop... I am a local and went for lunch and am used to table service as it has been for years. Now you have to go and order and pick it up like Mcdonalds. This is lake George! will not be back. No frosty mugs and boba?? Not sure where the boba comes into place at a fast food established chain. Book a table now

This was an easy spot for a quick root beer float and snack! The girls who work here really hustle rain or shine. If you're looking for an exceptional hot dog and fries this isn't the place but for a quick ok meal it passes.
