Trying out Middle Eastern cuisine was a pleasant surprise during our trip in Scotland, with plenty of vegetarian options available. The food was decent, although not exceptional. The falafel, for instance, was a tad dry. The staff were friendly, but they seemed understaffed. We had to flag down our server to place our orders and ask for water refills.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. I wish they didn't use kohlanoush, but the hummus was fantastic and creamy. The mussels and moschelhan were perfectly seasoned. And the vegan version of cheesecake was outstanding - one of the best desserts I've ever had.
Baab is a fantastic spot in Oban for those with a sweet tooth or those following a vegan diet. With a wide array of options to choose from, delicious food, and excellent service, this restaurant is a must-visit. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable.

Amazing vegan options well labeled on the menu. Tofu skewers and baba ghanoush were my favorite and unsurprisingly the French fries and sauce were mind blowing. Highly recommend. Saved us after 24 hours of travel!
Delicious small plates in a cozy and laid-back setting. The staff was attentive and welcoming. We appreciated the variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. This is definitely our top choice for dining in Oban!
Staff was very friendly, food was amazing and came out very quick. We basically tried everything on the menu and each meal was cooked to perfection! Would highly recommend if you’re in or near Oban!
