Bären-Bar - Table reservation

First things first, you pay not much and hence receive not much. The location is amazing! The hotel needs renovation but then wouldn’t be this affordable. The rooms are spacious and everything is very clean. The cleaning staff of the hotel side are very very friendly. The hotel is dog- and child-friendly. There is a playing ground. Brienz is amazing. The only problem we noticed (considering how much we paid to the service we received) was the lack of education of the restaurant staff. Rooms: Spacious rooms and clean but worned furnitures. After a hike we came to the lake for an ice cream. At first glance, it looks inviting outside. We were neither welcomed nor noticed. The waitress rebuked us that we should wait until she logged in on the tray...not to mention that she didn't speak German well. The ice cream came, but not the mineral water. She brought it only after we asked. Rude, disinterested and bored. I don't understand why the reviews are so different. The building is ancient and inside is beyond musty. How can you call that excellent? We don't go there anymore.

Food drinks: The price is a rip off for the food I had on my plate. They offer small portions, but the price is exaggerated. Wouldn't recommend it at all. Just because you have a nice view they think they can ask for whatever price... This is a no go!

We visited only for drinks and bites. But it was very good. Friendly. Nice garden. Although old, one of the better places at the main street. Service: 4 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view
