"Service was friendly, and the coffee was certainly good. I would give the cake a grade of B – not A. Other pastries IMHO proved to be a better choice: the almond croissant I especially liked. Next time, I’ll probably try the shop across the street."

The service was outstanding, waiters and waitresses were really polite and helpful, and they care a lot about their customers, Tables are clean and are arranged in a way that customers keep their own private space even during the rush hours. Inside the restaurant there is no network so that no phones causes any disturbances. At lunch the menu choice is rather limited in comparison to dinner, however the quality of the food is really outstanding. Dishes are prepared with fresh and local ingredients which make the eating experience a worth try. The restaurant has got a bakery and a pastry shop inside offering a wide range of fresh home-made breads of all kinds and fresh and colorful cakes that...

This is an iconic cafe bakery that is always packed. There are two sections, the pattesserie bakery and the cafe restaurant. There is a huge variety making it difficult to choose. In the cafe there are just a couple of items for normal people, everything is for carnivores. I ha dthe celery soup of the day and the caprese salad. The soup was cream based and not bad. The sald was disappointing. The tomatoes were cherry tomatoes and the dried olives garnish was too hard.

We have eaten at Baren many times with family and friends and have not been disappointed. The service is always friendly and the dishes are well prepared and tasty. It is usually quite busy which is a testament to its quality and also its location (close to the Abbey). The menu is seasonal with certain staples. The bakery at the front of the restaurant serves tasty pastries and breads. If you sit at the front of the restaurant you get a great view of the Abbey.
