While we live in North Merrick and there are quite a few bagel places between us and Bagelman, centrally located on Merrick Ave (next to Outback it is always well worth the drive. For the extra few minutes in the car you can get phenomenal bagels or all types... cream cheeses and tuna salad... and... oh yes, the egg salad. Went to visit my hometown bagel store after 20 years. The bagels are just as I remembered. Large, crusty and chewy. I brought home two dozen. They were so accommodating! Sliced and in freezer bags so I didn’t have a hassle after my long trip.They even helped me carry my things to the car!Don’t sleep on the cookies! Best black and whites I’ve ever had ever. This is a husband and wife put their love into their food. The bagels are the best bagels in the TriState area. Salmon scallion cream cheese chicken salad what can I say DELICIOUS!!! If you need catering then Oder they do not disappoint.
I paid $5.25 for a bagel with vegetable cream cheese. While it was decent, I expected more for that price. If you're spending that much on a bagel, it should be worth it.
