It doesn't pretend to be fancy or anything other than a decent suburban Fish and Chippery. The fish is tasty and fresh, the chips are crunchy, and the staff are personable and friendly.Such is the popularity of this place, they will sell out of fish on a Friday night by around 7.30pm - best avoid disappointment by either calling and ordering ahead by 6.30pm, or enjoying a wait of up to 45 minutes. That's not the end of the world though - there are tables and chairs out the front.
For years now we had been searching for a decent fish and chip shop who had good quality fish and decent prices. It's pretty darn clear by the quality of food that the owners actually care about you and the food they produce. We have been a number of times now and can rate the Spanish Mackerel (beautiful thick slice) the potato scallops and the fish burgers. The service is cheerful and the wait time is quick. Bring on Lent so we have more of a reason to stop by weekly!
On a Friday night, we ordered Fish, Chips, Prawn Cutlets and Calamari. I ordered by phone and then had to pick it up 45 mins later. When we arrived to pick up our order, they were very busy and we waited an extra 15 minutes. The Spanish Mackerel was delicious. The kids' nuggets seemed to be made from chicken breast - not frozen like McDonalds. This was good quality fish and chips - not greasy or tasteless. Definitely give this place a go next time you are in Cairns.
My partner is the most pickiest person when it comes to food and even more so when it comes to fish and chips he's from england and swears that Australia can not compare he has been living in oz for 10 years and finally I got to shut him up we live in Townsville and this shop in cairns I would come up for ..... fresh fish friendly people and good price I'm happy we found this place and we will be re visiting Book a table now
Great suburban fish and chips, fresh food, batter is just right and crunchy chips. Visited twice in a 4 day Cairns stay. Well worth the drive from anywhere in Cairns. Good size portions at reasonable prices. Adam provides excellent and friendly service. Will definitely be back when next in the area.

Oh man, I binged so hard on this sushi. This was easily the best conveyor belt sushi I've had So many options, so fresh, and so good.
Decided to have a sat night fish and chips. Portions were huge and staff was nice. Definitely reccomend! Book a table now
