I came in to get a bacon and egg sandwich like I usually do twice a week. I got home, didn’t have a chance to eat at work. I got home, heat it for seconds and the bacon had black dots and a weird taste. I called and the new owner told me ITS NORMAL BECAUSE THEY USE BOARDS HEAD BACON and the BLACK DOTS ARE FROM THE HOT GRILL! I used hot grill at home and I never seen a grill making black dots to my bacon. I used to go for years when Chris used to run/own it and I never had an issue.
The distinctive qualities of this restaurant make you feel right at home, and the ambiance is truly beautiful. The food is excellent, especially the breakfast sandwiches, which feature all the New Jersey favorites made fresh. When you're there, be sure to inquire about the party options and the 3.6-foot subs. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality and presentation are outstanding. Be sure to mention that Frank sent you!
I had to try the hot pastrami with Swiss and spicy mustard. They offered me rye bread, but I preferred it served in a different style! If I had to rate it on the Portnoy scale, I'd give it a 9.1. The macaroni salad was impressive and really complemented the meal, and the pastrami was outstanding, tying everything together perfectly! This place is a must-visit, and the customer service is exceptional—very personal and attentive!
I had the beef sandwich with fresh mozzarella and horseradish, and it's officially my new favorite! I ordered through DoorDash, and I was pleased to see that the staff took the time to add the horseradish, which many places often forget. The bread was also fantastic! I highly recommend this sandwich; the portion is huge! Book a table now
The bread-to-meat ratio wasn't very good. You might be better off ordering a half sandwich with extra meat instead. I also requested hot peppers for my Italian sandwich but received jalapeños instead. They weren't bad, but it wasn't what I expected. I would also suggest skipping the coleslaw.
Maybe the worst place I ordered. $7.00 for Microwave Chicken Snell with nothing on it. distinguish taylor ham and cheese. hamburgers are grilled like an 8-year-old, and the salads are missing only luck charm to decorate the 4 slices salate and 6 slices of cherry tomatoes. a real one!
Yummy breakfast. The attendant was very friendly and super quick and efficient. The rolls and flavor remind me of NYC. Definitely worth the stop.
So many delicious sandwiches only I can eat, because they are very tasty. I'm not afraid of being overweight because I go to the gym. Book a table now
Always get a great sub from here! Not a lot of good sandwich deli in the area besides this place and Great Wazu
