Almost there. Had the Pad Thai and a veggy/cashew dish that was spiced to 3/4. The spice on the later was plenty. The taste other than that was't very inspired though. The Pad Thai too was fine but not stellar. As an $8 lunch special it was ok and reasonable for the price, but all the dishes could use a little more flavor. Spring rolls were very hot and just made but the cucumber sauce and roll itself were rather bland. The Thai food down the road toward CH is much more flavorful (and yes more expensive).
AWESOME!. Bangkok 54 ROCKS! If you love traditional Thai food, what are you waiting for? We are addicted, plain and simple. There is not a bad dish on the menu in fact each of the entrees should be sampled. Personal favorite is the Basil Sauce with Thai Chilis with anything.Put Bangkok 54 on your New Year's Resolution List as THE place to try Thai in this area. You will not be dissappointed.
Need Mo Heat. Excellent quality food for lunch; I got the dumplings for an app and the beef with basil sauce. Waitress forgot to ask how hot I wanted it, I would've said Thai hot, and I forgot to mention it. Perfection on a plate, but wish she had axed cause I think it would've been awesome with some real heat and spiciness to it.
I stopped in yesterday to get a to-go order. I have never been but I drive by daily to and from work. When I got home I enjoyed some of the best thai food I have had in a while. The pad thai was excellent also had the green curry w/ tofu, awesome!! I will be back soon.
