This is a favourite location of mine. Good atmosphere, lovely young staff who are still learning some aspects of customer service but work so hard at delivering good service you don't notice. Service can be slow so do say on arrival if you are on a timeframe so your needs can be accommodated. I don't mind if it takes a little time as the surroundings are so nice. The cakes are usually great but on our most recent visit the cheesecake was not quite cooked. It may have been our own fault for choosing it as we asked the waitress about its availability as it was on the menu but not in the display case and she advised it was out the back but still available. There was a sample of fudge on the coun...

Visited midweek with friends, made very welcome by Fiona and staff and seated in a room with another couple with a lovely warm open fire.Meals were great all pleased with our choices which varied from the Orange Ruffy special to the seafood risotto and the steak meal. All of good size and excellent quality.Selection of wines is great we chose wine from the Avoca label it was also most enjoyable. To spend an afternoon in the historic old railway station was very pleasant only shame was we didn't experience a train passing through during our time there.

Plenty to absorb in the place from arriving in the old world building in a lovely setting. A few different rooms, one with an active wood fire. Welcoming and attentive staff; choice of interesting and delicious blackboard specials as well as a creative breakfast and lunch/dinner menu. Licensed. Good coffee. I can recommend the Moroccan chicken, which is a hearty salad, and also the flavoursome Guiness beef stew so great on a colder day. The sweet offerings look amazing,in a hearty way, have to try next time...

We stopped here with a young child for a light family meal. My meal was okay. My husband got the calamari salad which was under seasoned and lacked any sort of dynamic dressing to give flavour to the salad. My breakfast was fine. Sadly our little child was somewhat restless and by the looks of a middle aged lady who worked there it was obvious that we were not welcome. Looks like it's back to Inverleigh for us!
